Husby and I trekked down to Holyrood last night to watch them light the Diamond Jubilee beacon (one of more than 4,000 being lit across the UK and the Commonwealth). It was a beautiful night to be out, everyone was in a chipper mood, and we met a lovely couple from Yorkshire who were in town to celebrate their anniversary.
